True College Football
“Why You Mad?”
This is not some “old guy” reminiscing about the “Good Old Days” of college football in light of the massive changes to the sport due to the Name Image and Likeness (NIL) and the Transfer Portal. Truth is a good number of college football fans are disheartened and dismayed at what has transpired by allowing 18 - 21 year olds to share in the money earned, if at all, from the sport.
The idea that a regular college student who is struggling to pay for their education and rent, is attending class with an individual who is earning $500 to $1 million dollars, living in a nice condominium, and driving a fancy car all as a reward to play football at “Greenbacks University” is comical or as the kids say “Messed Up,” at best. Given the highest bidder, there is no guarantee certain players will remain at their current universities. Team rosters are now constantly in flux with no sense of continuity or stability.
The intent of this website to promote and highlight the efforts of college football programs and specifically student-athletes who do not have the luxury of NIL money, but enjoy the game, working towards their college degree, learn life lessons, hard work, perseverance, and reap the opportunities that college football provides - a college degree that will prepare them for life, friendship, and memories for life.
